About Me

Several years ago, I was tasked with writing a CV as part of a university module. On the surface, this was quite a mundane task, but it forced me to ask myself a serious question: What am I actually trying to do with this career? What do I want to achieve in Architectural Technology, beyond simply earning a living?

The answer came quickly, and has stayed with me ever since: I want to make a difference.

Before university, I’d already had a different kind of education. I dropped out of sixth form to join the British Army. I was keen to do something of significance. I went on to serve for seven years, including two tours in Afghanistan. My experience during this time defined me, and has shaped my approach to everything I do. It taught me to think clearly under pressure, the importance of following methodical processes, and critically, the ability to adapt when things don't go to plan.

When I later began working in architectural practice, I grew frustrated as the same problems surfaced time and again. Delivering high-quality design was taking longer, not because the work was harder, but because the systems were inefficient, the tools outdated, and the processes bloated.

My career has taken me from small extensions in sleepy Suffolk villages to projects costing tens of millions in central London. At every level, I saw the same issues: design increasingly seen as a box-ticking exercise to be minimised, rather than a necessity to be valued. An industry notoriously slow to change had become burdened by outdated processes and complex regulations that stifle innovation and make good design a luxury.

Bespoke design was drifting out of reach for most people. Services were becoming more complex, more expensive and less effective. This is both bad for the client and frustrating for the professional. Well thought out and considered design improves the end user experience. And properly planned and executed projects result in better outcomes.

So I made it my mission: To make high-quality architectural design accessible, affordable, and understandable for everyone.

Not every project needs a designer’s touch, not every budget can support one. But every person deserves to be empowered, supported, and at the very least, pointed in the right direction.

I’m a Chartered Architectural Technologist with a First-Class Honours degree in Architectural Technology, and this mission is what drives everything I do.

In order to pursue this purpose fully, free from the constraints of businesses that don’t share the same values and standards, I founded THEO ARCH TECH. It exists to realise this vision without compromise.

My flagship project, codenamed DESMAN, is an ambitious platform that brings this mission to life. It’s an all-in-one system for DESigning and MANaging construction projects, as well as the entire business and collaboration requirements around them. It’s a Tool. Built from the ground up to deliver on that promise of universal empowerment, for homeowners, designers, and businesses alike.

That’s how I make a difference: by combining deep industry experience with smart, scalable tools.

No fluff. Just focused, people-first design that achieves the mission.

If that sounds like what you need, let’s talk.
